The Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seek an Academic Geriatric Psychiatrist to join its faculty at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. This position will provide clinical consultations and geriatric specialty care primarily at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he/she will have an active teaching role with students, residents and geriatric fellows. The successful applicant will work closely with geriatric medicine teams in outpatient and nursing home work and will collaborate with neurology faculty on the care of people with cognitive disorders. There are opportunities to become involved in research, including research focused on the development of innovative models for the delivery of geriatric mental health care.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and enthusiastic teacher, with strong interest and experience in Geriatric Psychiatry. Candidates should be board certified (or eligible) in Geriatric Psychiatry. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.
